  1. Adjust the vertical position of the prompter before assembly

    The prompter assembly can be raised or lowered to suit the height of the camera lens. (The lens should be as close to centered in the hood as possible).

    1. Measure from the base of the camera too the centre of the lens. Set the graduated plate to the same measurements, for example if the centre lens to base height is 55 mm then set the graduated plate to 55 mm. First release the height adjustment lever by turning anti clockwise.

    2. Raise or lower the assembly to suit the camera lens setup. When the required height is achieved tighten the lock lever firmly to secure the setup.

  2. Attach camera plate to the rail.

    1. Turn the rail upside down.

    2. Use the two camera plate screws to attach the plate to the rail and tighten firmly.

  3. Fit the rail to fluid head.

    1. Follow the instructions for the fluid head being used to lock the tilt on the head and attach the camera plate.

    2. Lay the monitor face down on a flat surface (use a towel or similar to protect the screen).

    3. Align the mounting holes with the 4 x captive thumbscrews on the bracket and turn clockwise to secure. Do not over tighten.

  1. Mount the monitor and rail onto the mounting bracket

    1. Turn the monitor the correct way up (screen facing upwards).

      1. one.svgOffer the assembly to the rail mount and twist slightly clockwise to align the key-ways with the screws on the rail bracket.

      2. two.svgWith the fixed screws inserted in the keyholes twist the monitor assemble slightly anticlockwise and allow the bracket to drop into location.

      3. four.svgWith the monitor assembly in place tighten the thumbscrews x 2 to lock the monitor assembly in place.

  2. Add the hood to the assembly

    1. Offer up the hood assembly to the rail mount fixings, and place the key-ways over the fixings and lower into place.

    2. Locate the captive thumbscrews and tighten to secure the hood. To fit the glass to the hood see Removal and Fitting of Reflective Glass Panel for Replacement or Cleaning

  3. Mounting the camera.

    1. Before mounting the camera, the carriage must be fitted to the camera base.

    2. Turn the camera onto its side and screw the carriage to the camera using the supplied screws.

  4. Add the carriage to the rail

    Note

    The correct orientation for the carriage is when you can slide it onto the rail without having to depress the stop button located on the end of the rail.

    1. Slide the carriage onto the rail from the rear and apply the lock.

  5. Add the weights to the rail slide.

    1. Insert the two rods into the carriage and apply the carriage lock.

    2. Slide The 5kg weight onto the rods and apply the lock on the weight block.

    3. Undo the carriage clamp and slide the camera lens through the hood aperture, the lens should be as close to the prompter glass as possible. Lock the carriage in position.
